Where the brand actually gets used

This page is deliberately unfinished. Each block below is a section a mature brand guide has and this one does not yet — with a note on what needs to go in it and who is likely to own it. Tell us which matter most to the field team and they get built first.

Slide templates

A PowerPoint and Google Slides master with title, section, content, data and closing layouts already on-brand — so no one builds a deck from a blank slide again.

To supply

The .potx / Slides theme file · a sample deck showing the layouts in use · the rule for 16:9 vs 4:3 · minimum type size on a projected slide (24px equivalent is the floor).

Email signatures

One approved block, copy-pasteable, that renders in Outlook and Gmail. The sketch to the left is a starting point, not the standard.

To decide

Which fields are required · whether logo images are allowed (many clients block them) · pronouns, certifications and social links · whether a campaign banner is ever permitted.

Needs content

Social media

Sizes, safe areas and templates for each channel FlatWorld actually posts on, plus the avatar treatment.

To supply

The active channel list · profile and cover art per channel · post templates at 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16 · hashtag and handle conventions · who approves posts.

Co-branding & partner lockups

How the FlatWorld logo sits beside an institution, bookstore or platform partner. This is the question reps get asked most often in the field.

To decide

Which logo goes first · the divider rule and spacing · relative size when partner marks differ in shape · who signs off on a co-branded asset before it ships.

Needs content

Print & conference collateral

One-pagers, catalog inserts, booth banners, business cards and the trade-show kit. The pieces reps physically hand over.

To supply

Trim sizes and bleed · the official CMYK and Pantone builds · approved print vendors · editable source files reps can personalise without breaking the layout.

Needs content

Motion & video

Where the logo rests in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, how it animates in, and how long it holds. Every guide written now needs this — most video FlatWorld appears in is vertical.

To decide

The animated logo sting (if one exists) · lower-third and caption styling · end-card layout · whether the book fold may animate on its own.

Legal & trademark

What third parties may and may not do with these assets, and the exact notice reps should paste into a contract or a partner deck.

To supply

Registered vs unregistered marks and where ® or ™ is required · the copyright line and its current year · third-party asset licence terms · how to request permission and who grants it.

Needs content

Email campaigns

The instructor outreach template: header, body, one call to action, footer. Built to survive Outlook and to read on a phone.

To decide

Which platform sends them · web-safe font fallbacks for Lexend and Figtree · the unsubscribe and compliance footer · how much a rep may edit before it needs review.

Keeping this guide alive

A brand guide only works if people can find it and trust that it is current. Four operational decisions still to make.

Where it lives

A permanent URL every rep can reach without a login, ideally linked from the intranet and the sales enablement hub.

Who owns it

One named person who approves changes, plus a review cadence — twice a year is enough for a brand this stable.

Public vs internal

Logo files and colour are safe to publish for partners and press. Templates, pricing collateral and deal materials stay behind the login.

How to ask

A single address for "can I do this with the logo?" A rep who cannot get an answer in a day will guess instead.
